Regulation (EU) 2026/1189 confirms removal of Brazil from EU list – honey imports will be banned from 3 September 2026.

DG SANTE confirms: No exemption or transition period possible for Brazil – honey included. Commission engaging with Brazilian authorities on compliance.

EU removes Brazil from approved list due to antimicrobial growth‑promoter use – honey included. F.E.E.D.M. has sent letters to DG SANTE and the Brazilian Mission for clarification and asked DG SANTE for an exemption or differentiated treatment for honey.
